"How to use drama and role-playing in peace education"
This workshop aims at discovering ways - using a participative method as role play- how to manage conflicts in a non-violent manner, by adopting constructive strategies and attitudes.
Mr. Vanspringel will demonstrate a concrete example of using creative and spontaneous drama in understanding and resolving conflicts in a small group. Each participant will choose and play a role dramatising an old bible story. (No observers!) Playing this role - using improvisation - the participants will feel and express emotions which can either help or obstruct constructive conflict solving.
In a sharing moment after the role play the participants will be given the opportunity to make the link with their own lives. During the demonstration Mr. Vanspringel will also explain the participants the different steps how to use this method in their own work situation.
